SEO Services from $1,500/mo — Founder-Led, Vertical-Focused

SEO that costs $1,500 a month is rare in 2026 because most agencies anchor at $3,000 to $5,000 and call anything below that “starter SEO.” My floor is $1,500 because that is the real cost of doing the work properly: 4 posts I write personally, monthly GBP optimization, schema audit, technical fixes, and a monthly report with the actual Search Console numbers. No contracts, no setup fees, no junior writers ghost-credited to my account. Three tiers ($1,500 / $2,500 / $4,000) priced to what you actually need, and a vertical focus on medspa and Shopify where my data is deepest.

DATA POINT $1,500 From the data inside this post. SPROUT SAGE SOLUTIONS

Why I publish flat SEO pricing when the industry hides it

Search “SEO pricing 2026” and you will find ranges. “$1,500 to $15,000 per month, depending on scope.” “$2,500 to $10,000, contact us for a quote.” The range is intentional. Pricing opacity lets the agency anchor you on perceived value before showing the bill, and it lets them charge different clients wildly different rates for the same deliverable.

I publish three flat tiers because the work in each tier is the same regardless of who you are. Local SEO costs $1,500 a month because the deliverable is 4 posts, monthly GBP optimization, schema, audit, and report. Whether you are a $20,000-per-month medspa or a $500,000-per-month one, the work I do at $1,500 is identical. The retainer should scale with the scope, not with what you can stomach.

Risk of public pricing: enterprise buyers sometimes think we are too small because the floor is $1,500. Mitigation: my Growth tier at $4,000 is competitive with mid-market agency retainers, and I have run engagements at $6,000 to $8,000 per month when scope demanded it. The transparent tier shows you the floor. The bespoke option exists.

The three tiers — pricing, deliverables, and who each one fits

TierPrice/moPosts/moBest for
Local SEO$1,5004Single-location service business, local pack focus
Vertical SEO$2,5008Medspa or Shopify operator competing nationally
Growth SEO$4,0008+Established site with 50+ pages needing rewrites + outreach

Local SEO — $1,500 per month, the floor that does real work

Built for the single-location service business that wants to dominate their city. Medspa, dental, law firm, agency, contractor, any business where “near me” and city-modified queries are the main lead source. The monthly deliverable is structured to hit the 5 highest-weighted ranking signals in 2026: GBP primary category match (14% of weight), review velocity (10% of weight), on-page localization (8%), profile completeness and freshness (9%), and inbound local links (7%).

What I do every month at this tier: weekly GBP posts (2 minimum per week, rotating Update, Offer, Event, Product), full profile freshness check, photo and video uploads, attribute completion check, 4 blog posts I write personally (1,200 to 2,000 words each, optimized for local search intent), schema audit (Service + LocalBusiness + FAQPage at minimum), one technical audit per month, and a 4-page monthly report. If you only need pure local work with no national content, I have a Local-only tier from $1,000 per month that skips the blog deliverable.

Vertical SEO — $2,500 per month, the tier I built for medspa and Shopify

This is where my deepest playbook lives. Medspa SEO and Shopify SEO are my two specialties because they are where I have the most rankings, the cleanest case studies, and the most differentiated content. At $2,500 I deliver 8 posts a month (2 per week) plus a schema audit, an internal link build pass, and one new city or category page per month.

For medspas, the content calendar focuses on treatment-modifier-city queries (hydrafacial Frisco, lip filler Plano, morpheus8 Dallas) and the educational mid-funnel content that funnels to those city pages (does Botox hurt, how often Botox, what to expect after lip filler). For Shopify operators, the focus is on category page optimization, schema layering for Product and Review markup, and the kind of comparison content that wins both Google rankings and ChatGPT citations.

Every page I publish at this tier ships GEO-optimized: answer-first formatting in the first 200 words (44% of ChatGPT citations come from the first third of content), FAQPage schema (2.6x citation lift), inline statistics with named numbers (30 to 40% citation rate lift), and external citations to .gov, .edu, or recognized industry sources (115% visibility lift on rank 5 pages per the Princeton GEO study). The GEO methodology I use is documented in the dedicated GEO service page.

Growth SEO — $4,000 per month, the tier for sites past the awkward middle

Built for sites with 50+ ranked pages, some technical debt, and a real backlink opportunity. Everything at Vertical SEO, plus a monthly on-page rewrite of 20 existing underperforming pages and outreach for backlinks. The 20 rewrites per month is where this tier pays for itself fastest. Most sites have 30 to 50% of their indexed pages ranking on page 2 of Google, which is essentially zero traffic. A focused rewrite of those page-2 pages typically lifts 3 to 7 of them onto page 1, which compounds into real traffic in 60 to 90 days.

Outreach at this tier is white-hat only: digital PR pitches to publications in your vertical, guest post placements I personally write, and broken-link reclamation. No paid links, no PBNs, no link farms. The bar is “would I publish this on my own site,” and if it is not, it does not go out.

What 2026 SEO actually looks like (and why GEO is non-negotiable)

The SEO landscape changed in 2025 to 2026 faster than at any point in the previous decade. AI Overviews now appear on 50 to 70% of informational queries, and they cut outbound organic clicks by 38% on triggered queries. ChatGPT Search alone captures 60.7% of standalone AI search traffic with 250 to 500 million weekly queries. Perplexity holds 22 million monthly active users. 37% of US consumers now start searches inside an AI tool, not a search engine.

Traditional SEO that ignores these surfaces is optimizing for a shrinking pie. The work I do at every tier from $1,500 includes Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): the structural choices that get your content cited inside AI-generated answers. The 15 GEO tactics ranked by impact include adding authoritative external citations (+115% visibility), replacing qualitative language with statistics (+30 to 40% citation rate), answer-first formatting (44% of citations come from the first third), and multi-schema stacking (2x citation rate). I bake all of these into every page I publish, no exceptions.

If your current SEO partner is still talking purely about keyword density, exact-match anchor backlinks, and “page 1 rankings,” they are running a 2018 playbook against a 2026 search landscape. A free AI accessibility audit will show you whether your site is even visible to ChatGPT and ClaudeBot, which 15 to 20% of mid-market sites unintentionally block.

The 2026 ranking factors I optimize against

Factor2026 weightDirection
GBP primary category match14%Stable, still #1 single signal
Proximity to searcher12%Down from ~18% in 2023
Review velocity (last 90 days)10%Up sharply (was rank 93, now rank 11 in surveys)
GBP profile freshness9%Up, 30+ days stale = visible drop
On-page localization (title, H1, schema)8%Stable
Review quantity + rating7%4.5★+ with 20+ recent is threshold
Local inbound link authority7%Up, local relevance > generic DR
Behavioral signals (CTR, calls, directions)7%Up, Google now actively measures
NAP / citation consistency6%Down from ~10%, accuracy > pixel-identical
Review response rate (>80% within 24h)5%Confirmed boost, Google has stated publicly

The signal-group breakdown for 2026: GBP 32%, On-page 19%, Reviews 16%, Links 15%, Behavioral 8%, Citations 7%, AI-search citability ~3% and rising. Notice that GBP plus reviews plus on-page is 67% of the weight. That is where I spend 67% of my time. Book a call and I will show you live which of these factors your site is currently strong or weak on.

How I structure the first 90 days of work

Week 1. Audit. I run a full technical scan (Screaming Frog), a Search Console pull (last 90 days), a GA4 traffic breakdown, an AI crawler accessibility test, a GBP review (if local applies), and a backlink profile pull (Ahrefs or Semrush). You get a 12-page audit doc within 5 business days that names every issue and prioritizes the top 10.

Weeks 2 to 4. Technical fixes. I burn through the top 10 issues from the audit: indexability problems, redirect chains, schema errors, sitemap gaps, robots.txt issues, AI crawler unblocks. Most months 1 are dominated by this work because it is where the fastest wins are. I have lifted sites 15 to 30% in pure traffic in month 1 just by fixing indexability and schema.

Month 2. Content cadence kicks in. 4 posts at Local SEO, 8 at Vertical, 8+ at Growth. Each post written to a target keyword cluster, optimized for both Google ranking and AI citation. Schema attached on publish. Internal links built into existing pages.

Month 3. The compounding starts. New posts begin to rank. Old pages get rewrites at Growth tier. GBP velocity shows in the ranking grid. First clear traffic delta appears in the monthly report. Most clients have their “this is actually working” moment in month 3.

Where my work has moved the needle

One Shopify supplement client I have worked with for 18 months started at $2,500 a month Vertical SEO. Month 1 traffic: 800 visits. Month 12 traffic: 14,200 visits. Month 18 traffic: 22,400 visits, with 60% of new traffic coming from queries the site did not rank for at all in month 1. Total SEO investment in 18 months: $45,000. Estimated incremental revenue from organic search in the same window: $280,000 (their numbers, not mine, anonymized in the case study).

A medspa client in the Dallas suburbs started at $1,500 a month Local SEO 9 months ago. GBP went from rank 7 in the local pack to rank 1 for their primary category and city. Monthly call volume from GBP went from 18 to 84. Booked appointments tracked back to organic went from 5 to 31 a month. That client has not signed a contract once in the 9 months. They renew because the work works.

What I do not do

I do not run paid ads. Different specialty, different agencies do it better than I would. I do not write AI-spun content. Every post I ship is hand-written, with my voice and my fact-checking. I do not buy backlinks. I do not run PBNs. I do not use “guaranteed page 1” tactics because page 1 guarantees are either lies or low-volume keyword tricks that do not move revenue.

I do not work with more than 12 SEO clients at a time. That is the hard cap. Once full, the next slot opens when an existing client cancels (rare) or upgrades to Growth (more common). Right now I have 3 slots open. Book a call this week if you want one.

What you do not get at $1,500 a month

I want to be explicit about what is NOT included in the $1,500 tier so there are no surprises. No paid ad management (different specialty). No social media management. No graphic design beyond basic featured images for the 4 posts I write. No public relations or media outreach (only the Growth tier at $4,000 includes outreach for backlinks). No website builds (priced separately from $500). No conversion rate optimization on existing pages (priced separately from $300 per page or as a CRO engagement).

What you do get at $1,500: 4 written posts of 1,200 to 2,000 words each, weekly GBP optimization, monthly technical audit, monthly schema audit, monthly report. That is roughly 25 to 30 hours of my time every month. At a $125 per hour rate, the math is honest. I am charging for hours, not for theatre.

The clients I have turned down recently

I turn down roughly 40% of incoming inquiries. The common reasons: budget below $1,500 (those clients are better served by free DIY content from my blog), vertical I do not work in (I do not do crypto, gambling, adult, or supplements that make unverified health claims), business model that cannot wait 90 days for SEO to compound (those clients need paid ads first), or a personality mismatch on the discovery call where I can tell we will not enjoy working together.

I say no on the discovery call when it is the right answer. I have lost roughly $80,000 in retainer revenue over the past 2 years by saying no to engagements I knew would not produce a result the client would be happy with. That math is fine with me because the clients I do say yes to renew at 92% and refer at high rates.

The final answer to “is SEO worth $1,500 a month”

If your business generates over $30,000 a month in revenue and organic search is even 10% of your lead flow, $1,500 a month for SEO is a no-brainer. If you are under $20,000 a month or organic is currently zero, you should probably focus on paid ads first and let SEO compound in the background once cashflow is steady.

The honest answer is that SEO is a 6 to 12 month investment, and the worst month to start was last year while the best month to start is this month. Every month you delay is a month your competitors are building citations, reviews, and content equity you cannot easily catch later.

FAQ

Why do you start at $1,500 per month?

$1,500 is the floor where I can deliver real work without cutting corners. Below that I would be skipping content or pretending 2 posts a month moves the needle.

What is the difference between Local SEO, Vertical SEO, and Growth SEO?

Local at $1,500 is for single-location businesses competing on local pack. Vertical at $2,500 is for medspa or Shopify operators going national. Growth at $4,000 adds technical rewrites and outreach.

Do you have contracts?

No. Every tier is month-to-month, flat fee, no setup fee, no minimum term.

Why is your SEO vertical-focused?

I rank pages by knowing the search behavior of a specific buyer. Medspa and Shopify are where my data is deepest. I will take adjacent verticals when the brief fits.

What does the monthly deliverable look like?

Local: 4 posts, weekly GBP optimization, schema audit, monthly report. Vertical: 8 posts, schema audit, internal-link build, 1 city or category page, report. Growth: everything plus 20 page rewrites and outreach.

Do you do AI search optimization (GEO, AEO)?

Yes, included in every tier. GEO is non-negotiable in 2026 because 37% of US search starts in an AI tool and AI Overviews cut traditional clicks by 38%.

How long does SEO take to work?

First movements in 30 to 45 days, ranking lifts in 60 to 90 days, big compounding at month 4 to 6.

What if I am already running paid ads?

Run both. The right mix for most SMBs is 60% paid 40% SEO at the start, shifting toward 70% SEO by month 12 as content matures.

Do you do backlink outreach?

Included only at Growth SEO $4,000. Local and Vertical focus on on-page, content, and technical because that is where ROI is cleanest at SMB scale.

Can you work with my existing site?

Yes in 80% of cases. If you need a structural rebuild, I quote the website service separately from $500.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you start at $1,500 per month when most SEO agencies start at $3,000?
Because $1,500 is the floor where I can deliver real work without cutting corners. Below $1,500 I am either skipping content, skipping technical work, or pretending 2 blog posts a month moves the needle. Above $1,500, the math works: 4 posts, monthly technical audit, GBP optimization, internal link build, monthly report. Most agencies start at $3,000 because they bake in a junior content writer and an account manager. I write and audit personally so the $1,500 covers actual hours, not org chart overhead.
What is the difference between Local SEO, Vertical SEO, and Growth SEO?
Local SEO at $1,500 is for single-location businesses competing on local pack and city queries. Vertical SEO at $2,500 is for medspa or Shopify operators where I bring deep vertical knowledge, schema patterns, and a content calendar that ranks against national competitors. Growth SEO at $4,000 includes everything in Vertical plus a technical audit, on-page rewrites of 20 existing pages, and outreach. The tier is determined by your goal, not your size.
Do you have contracts?
No. Every tier is month-to-month, flat fee, no setup fee, no minimum term. If I am not earning my $1,500 in month 1, fire me. I have built the business on month-to-month because the moment you have a contract, both sides stop trying to earn the relationship. The longest client I have run continuously is 31 months. They have never signed a contract.
Why is your SEO vertical-focused and not generic?
I rank pages by knowing the search behavior of a specific buyer. A medspa owner searching ‘hydrafacial Frisco’ is not the same as a Shopify supplement buyer searching ‘best magnesium for sleep.’ Different intent, different schema, different content patterns. I work primarily on medspa and Shopify because that is where I have the most data, the cleanest playbooks, and the strongest case studies. I will take adjacent verticals (dental, wellness, professional services) when the brief fits, but I will not take everything.
What does the monthly deliverable actually look like?
Local SEO at $1,500: GBP optimization weekly, 4 blog posts per month written by me, monthly technical audit, monthly report with rankings and traffic. Vertical SEO at $2,500: 8 blog posts per month, schema audit, internal-link build, one city or category page per month, monthly report. Growth SEO at $4,000: everything in Vertical plus on-page rewrites of 20 existing pages and outreach for backlinks.
Do you do AI search optimization (GEO, AEO)?
Yes, included in every tier from $1,500. GEO is the discipline of structuring content so AI search engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot) cite you inside generated answers. AI search now drives 37% of US consumer search starts and AI Overviews have cut traditional organic clicks by 38%. If your SEO does not include GEO in 2026, you are optimizing for a search experience that is shrinking. Every page I rewrite or publish ships with answer-first formatting, FAQPage schema, citation density, and llms.txt compliance.
How long does SEO take to work?
Local SEO at $1,500: first GBP movements visible in 30 to 45 days, ranking lifts in 60 to 90 days. Vertical SEO at $2,500: same 60 to 90 day window for the first content batch, with bigger lifts at month 4 to 6 as the content compounds. Growth SEO at $4,000: similar timeline, with bigger month-1 lifts because the on-page rewrites unlock pages that were already indexed but underperforming.
What if I am already running paid ads? Should I switch to SEO?
Switch is the wrong framing. Run both, weighted toward whichever has better unit economics for you right now. Paid gives you predictable lead volume but stops the day you stop paying. SEO compounds: every page I rank stays ranked, every backlink earned stays earned. The right mix for most SMBs is 60% paid, 40% SEO at the start, shifting toward 70% SEO by month 12 as content matures. I do not run ads (different specialty) so I will only quote you on the SEO side.
What about backlinks? Do you do outreach?
Outreach is included only at Growth SEO $4,000 per month. Local SEO and Vertical SEO focus on on-page, content, and technical work because that is where the ROI is cleanest at SMB scale. Once a site has 50+ ranking pages and a clear authority profile, outreach starts to compound. Before that, outreach is wasted effort. I do not do paid links, link farms, or PBNs under any tier.
Can you work with my existing site or do I need a new one?
Existing site is fine in 80% of cases. I audit your current setup on the first call and tell you honestly whether SEO will move on your current build or whether you need a structural rebuild first. If you need a rebuild, I quote the website service separately from $500. I do not bundle the rebuild into the retainer because that obscures what each side is paying for.
How is your reporting? Do I get a dashboard?
Monthly report delivered as a 4-page PDF on the first of every month: top 10 ranking gains, top 10 ranking losses, traffic delta vs prior month, GBP performance, this month’s deliverables, next month’s plan. No vanity metric padding. I share the actual GA4 and Search Console data with you read-only, so you can verify any number I quote.
How do I get started?
