What is a healthy landing page CVR by vertical?

Medspa landing: 8-14%. Dental: 12-18%. Law firm intake: 10-16%. Shopify product page: 2-4%. SaaS demo: 3-7%. Real estate: 4-8%. Above these = strong. Below = either traffic mismatch or LP design problem.

Why is my CVR way below benchmark?

Three diagnostics: (1) Traffic source mismatch — ad copy promises X, LP delivers Y. (2) Above-fold weakness — no immediate value prop, hero hard to scan. (3) Form below the fold OR multi-step buried. Fix any one of these = 30-50% CVR lift.

How fast can I 2x my CVR?

Typical CRO sequence over 30 days: week 1 fix above-fold copy + headline. Week 2 simplify form fields. Week 3 add social proof + trust signals. Week 4 test mobile-specific layout. Combined: 50-100% CVR lift normal.

What is the biggest single CVR lever?

Headline. The H1 above the fold. If it does not communicate value + offer + trust in 5 seconds, nothing else matters. Test 3-5 headlines first. Most teams test colors of buttons instead — wrong lever.

Does mobile vs desktop CVR differ?

Yes — mobile typically 30-50% lower CVR than desktop on same page. Different design needed for mobile: shorter copy, sticky CTA, larger tap targets, single-column. Most "low CVR" problems are really "no mobile design" problems.

Should I A/B test or rewrite?

If CVR is far below benchmark (under 30% of vertical median): rewrite the whole page. Don't A/B test small changes. If CVR is close to median: A/B test incremental lifts.

How do I get more traffic without losing CVR?

Higher traffic usually drops CVR (low-intent visitors enter the funnel). Counter: tighten ad targeting + match LP message to specific ad cohort + create 3-5 LPs per traffic source instead of one general LP.

What about page speed impact on CVR?

Each 1-second LCP delay drops CVR ~7% (Google + WebVitals data). Pages above 3.5s LCP can lose 30-50% of CVR potential. Always speed-test before A/B testing other elements.

Can I use this for ecom product pages?

Yes — pick Shopify preset. Product page CVR benchmarks 2-4% for cold traffic, 5-8% for warm/email. Lower than service LP because checkout barrier is higher.
